| REGISTRATION OPEN FOR 2007 NORTH AMERICAN HANDMADE BICYCLE SHOW SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Exhibitor registration is now open for the 3 rd annual North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), the premier consumer show for custom-made bicycles. Exhibitors can register on the website (www.handmadebicycleshow.com) for space starting at $700 for a 10x10 space. The show, which presents handmade bicycle frames and components of the highest quality, is by far the largest in the country, and showcases the talents of the best bicycle builders from North America and abroad. Builders who exhibit their work will gain direct access to consumers who are in the market for a new custom-made bike, doing research for a possible next purchase, or who are simply there to admire these masterpieces of artisanship and engineering. According to Connecticut frame-building legend Richard Sachs, “Not since the 1970s has there been such an interest in the handmade bicycle frame. Framebuilding today has never been more viable and the show in San Jose shines a bright light on all the pioneers as well as the next wave of framebuilders who will set trends and make markets for generations to come. For me as a frame builder, this show provides unrivaled face-to-face access to existing and new customers. I fully expect to expand my customer base this year, as I have done in each previous NAHBS “ Consumers attending NAHBS will be able to speak with builders of all backgrounds and frame-building ideologies and discover the wide and wonderful world of bespoke bicycle frame building. Frame builders will be invited to prepare seminars for builders and the public alike. Any frame builders interested in running a seminar should contact Don Walker before August 30 th, 2006. The event has grown by 400% since its humble beginnings in 2005. According to Don Walker, NAHBS Founder and President, “This year, we welcomed 90 exhibitors and 2700 attendees to the show, up from 23 and 700, respectively, at our first NAHBS. We are looking to expand our numbers on both fronts for next year as well.” “We are so pleased that the show was well received by attendees and especially the press. I have not counted exactly how many positive reviews we have had, but I am just delighted at the public and media support. I had no idea it would grow this fast.” Walker added. The North American Handmade Bicycle Show welcomes builders of any kind of bicycle, as long as they custom fit all customers and build the bikes themselves. |
